A lot of politicians like to talk – Dan McPhillips is different. Instead of talking, he listens. That’s what he did as a township supervisor and that’s what he does as your Bucks County Recorder of Deeds. Now he’s running for state representative to end the days of double-talking politicians and replace them with real leaders who listen and then get things done.
When Dan was 10, his dad died, and his mom raised him and his siblings on her own. While she raised her family, she served the public as a local school board member and later graduated from Temple Law School. That’s where Dan learned that real leaders listen and then roll up their sleeves and work for the community. That’s what Dan has done throughout his life.
Dan is a life-long resident of Warminster Township, and he previously served as a member of the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors. Currently, Dan serves as your Bucks County Recorder of Deeds. Dan has more than 10 years of experience serving and representing the people of our community.
Throughout his service, Dan has always focused on serving his constituents. As a supervisor, he passed balanced budgets that didn’t raise taxes, funded our police, and invested in services for residents. He also partnered with local businesses, churches, and senior centers to meet residents and discuss issues important to them.
As Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, he has partnered with the Warminster VFW to hold constituent meetings each month to help veterans record their military discharge papers and inform the public of how to protect their property with his office’s free fraud alert program.
As the son of a small business owner, Dan has always believed small businesses create the family sustaining jobs that help our community prosper. That’s why he founded the Warminster Township Economic Development Committee. The committee helped foster better relationships between job creators. Dan has also served on the Board of Directors of the local Chamber of Commerce.
A product of both public and private schools, Dan attended Willow Dale Elementary School, Log College Middle School, and Archbishop Wood High School. Dan has a passion for local schools and has worked hard to be a positive impact on the next generation. Dan guest lectures a Fundamentals of Real Estate Course at his Alma mater. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Centennial Education Foundation. Dan earned his associate degree from Bucks County Community College and his bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University.
Dan currently resides in Warminster Township with his wife Piyumika.
